Muse Poetry Review is a monthly online poetry magazine and stands as a by product to a larger small press publisher, Muse Cafe Publications.

WE PLAN TO BEGIN SHOWCASING POETRY ON JULY 1st, 2011 AND CURRENTLY ARE ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS!

We strive to showcase 2-5 poets per month. We hope to display a sample of each poets work, 1-5 pieces.

Since this is a “poetry” review, we are accepting submissions for poetry and prose only.

We accept all types and forms of poetry but are quite fond of free verse.

Please do not send offensive material, simple greeting card prose, or angsty immature ramblings. We are quite open about content and encourage strong visuals, descriptions, and just good quality writing which can evoke emotions and mental images while entertaining….after all, that’s what poetry is for. We want to take our readers to a new place, engulf them in an atmosphere, perhaps another state of mind, let them experience someone else’s memories.

GUIDELINES:

Please send 1-5 poems along with a bio of 100 words or less. A picture of yourself is optional but invited.

We respond to all submissions within 6 weeks, usually much sooner. However, if you have submitted and you have not heard back within a six week time period, please feel free to inquire.

REGULATIONS:

We attain one-time publishing of your poetry and it will remain in the archives of Muse Poetry Review.  At some point in the future there may be an anthology which will feature the best of our poetry, and your poems may be published in that anthology.

We do not accept poems that have already been published elsewhere.

We oftentimes will solicit poetry from a poet whose work has inspired or moved us.  However, we still accept submissions on a regular basis.
